AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP
DEVELOPMENT
An Awareness Programme on Entrepreneurship Development
was jointly organized by FOSMl Institute for Entrepreneurship
Development (FlED), an organ of FOSMI and Sir Gurudas
Mahavidyalaya (SGM) at the college premises on the 16th December. 2005.
The inaugural session of the programme was graced by Md,
Salim, Hon'ble Member of Parliament; Shri Kalyan Mukherjee,
Deputy Mayor, KMC; Dr. Ganesh Chandra Ray, President, SGM; Shri Alok
Goswami, Chairman, FlED; Dr. Okab Ali Sarkar, Principal, SGM and Shri A.
K. Patnaik, AGM, SBI.
The
dignitaries and distinguished guests made encouraging presentations and
spoke very high of initiating the entrepreneurship development
programme in a college for motivating the students for self-entrepreneurship
in the event of shrinkage of job opportunities. The
general consensus was that this type of programme should
essentially be organized in the colleges as an eye-opener for self
entrepreneurship.Besides students of SGM, the programme was also
attended by the students of St. Xavier's College, Raja Manindra Chandra College, etc. and the
attendance was in large number and the auditorium was packed to
capacity.
FlED
introduced highly experienced and eminent faculties to interact with the
students on various subjects like principles of entrepreneurship,
statutory compliances, projects and finance, positive mental attitude
and personality development, SIDBI Schemes, marketing strategy and
planning, etc.
The students were found to be quite agile and put forward a
number of questions which were answered by the faculties.
FlED & SGM highly recognize the excellent job done by the
following faculties through positive interaction with the students:

Sen. "

The day-long programme was professionally organized and well presented
with perfect ambience all over.
